Off to the vibrant, beating heart of Innsbruck, the medieval old town. A selfie in front of the famous Golden Roof is obligatory, then stroll through the side streets, browse the Tyrolean delicacies (Seilergasse 13), browse through the "feinheiten" (Pfarrgasse 8) or diagonally opposite in the fragrant Walde soap factory. Walde soap factory (Pfarrgasse 5).
Refreshments at Strudelcafé Kröll (Hofgasse 6, special tip: the crumbly nut strudel!). If you're already in the Hofgasse, entrust the late Gothic whispering arch at the Burgriesenhaus (Hofgasse 12) with a sweet secret. And speaking of giants: On a tour of the Court Church (Universitätsstraße 2), popularly known as the Schwarzmanderkirche, is not to be missed. 28 larger-than-life bronze figures (the black men) guard the (empty) tomb of Emperor Maximilian. Very impressive!
In the evening you can indulge in culinary delights in one of the beautiful parlours of the Ottoburg (Herzog- Friedrich-Straße 1) before ending the day in the bar "Blue Brigitte" (Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 31) or in a sublime location with a panoramic view over the whole city in the 360 degrees (Maria-Theresien-Straße 18).
